Financial UNION Tirana is looking to fulfill the vacant position as SPECIALIST in the INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENT

Main Purpose:

The auditor, under the direction of the Head of the Department, must perform internal audits of the company, based on the audit plan and standards, aiming to deliver an independent opinion, and evaluating the sufficiency and effectiveness of the internal control line and management risk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To collect the necessary information/documentation for the preparation of the audit, to help in the preparation of the audit program.
  • To analyze the collected documentation, identify and evaluate the risks, the lack of controls in the processes and the incompatibility with the regulations and alignment with the procedures in force.
  • To carry out the audit procedures, including the identification and determination of problems based on interviews and discussions with the responsible persons, the review of the relevant documentation as well as the performed tests.
  • To document the control processes performed in accordance with the manual and the Audit Procedure
  • To prepare the draft report for the performed audit and to propose recommendations for the issues addressed in improving the processes.
  • To be constantly updated with internal and external regulations as well as changes in auditing standards in order to reflect and adapt them to the internal regulatory framework.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • University degrees in the Faculty of Economics

(preferred in Finance – Accounting or IT economics)

  • At least 3 years working experience in auditing or similar fields.
  • Knowledge of international internal audit standards.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork.
  • Analytical and report writing skills.
  • To have integrity and build cooperative relations with colleagues.
  • Good use of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, etc.
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
